Join a leading Australian manufacturer and wholesaler of a large range of high-volume engineered products, sold into industries as diverse as Construction, Retail Hardware, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas. As the largest company in this field, it has the resources of a public company, yet the flexibility of a private one. The significant enterprise was established in 1965 and operates 16 distribution centres across Australia, New Zealand, as well as two purpose-built international manufacturing operations in Asia.
Reporting to the Senior Management team, you will:
- Play a key role in establishing a new manufacturing facility in Asia
- Strategic sourcing, planning, vendor management and contract negotiation
- Product innovation and new product development
- Existing and new product and category management
- International travel 3 - 4 times a year to oversee development of new site
- 15 years + experience within Senior Procurement Management alongside Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations & Project Management
- Hands-on experience dealing with Asian factories - an advantage
- Strong analytical skills, innovative thinker to develop new products & categories
- Degree Qualification in Supply Chain related studies essential - APICS or CIPSA - an advantage
