Our client is a well-known, large-scale global financial organisation 
They are continuing to grow globally and are looking for a Senior .net developer to join their Melbourne team. This is a really great opportunity for someone who is looking to work for a rewarding and global organisation. 

 

About the Role: 

As a Senior .net developer you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Enterprise-level applications, system integrations and frameworks and produce functional software applications to fulfil specified requirements through high quality coding. 


In this role you will be required to:

  • Develop new systems and maintain existing ones in a Microsoft environment, working to given specifications

  • Liaise, collaborate and work with other developers, Scrum Masters or business users and Ops to contribute to the design

  • Analysis of specifications in any or all of the following: databases, middleware components or web applications

  • Analyse and diagnose issues/bugs in existing systems

  • Perform unit testing

  • Evaluate existing applications and identify areas for improvement

  • Work with testers to ensure new functionality is working to specification

  • Attend daily stand-ups, participate and contribute to peer code reviews

  • Attend and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to provide estimates and updates

  • Write and maintain technical documentation

  • Mentor junior developers

 To Succeed in this Role You Will Need:

  • Functional Knowledge of .net, .net core, c# and Azure Devops.

  • Functional knowledge of Web API, JSON, REST, Angular, Typescript, HTML, CSS, TDD (MSTest/Nunit), BDD (Specflow/Cucumber), SOLID, DRY, SQL Server: SQL, Stored Procedures and Agile: SCRUM/Kanban.

  • Understanding of software design and principles

  • Ability to investigate, to think logically and reason out problems

  • Ability and inclination to learn new skills as required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both technical and non-technical

  • High levels of numeracy, literacy and patience
