Job Description
Sirius Technology is partnering with a leading financial services organisation in Sydney as they look to enhance their Data Engineering capabilites. Due to a restructure in their organisation, they are transitioning from on-prem to cloud and need someone to be responsible for driving the strategic direction and operation of their Azure Data Platforms and related services.
Responsibilites:
- Accountable for the end-to-end development and evolution of the Azure Data Platform .
- Responsible for the support needed to develop the Data Platform such as Infrastructure, Architecture and Data Modelling.
- Communicate and define the technical strategy in line with the Data strategy.
- Work along side the Data Engineering processes and policies
- Engage with stakeholders for feedback and to own the process
- 10 + years experience in designing, building and maintaining Data Engineering pipelines.
- Experience in implementing lake house architecture.
- Extensive experience within Azure analytics tools such as Data Factory, Synapse and SQL.
- Data Modelling knowledge and physical implementation experience.
- Previous experience of managing and leading a team of Data Engineers.
- Excellent communication skills from peer to peer and stakeholder management.
