Job Description
This company is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join their team in North Sydney. This is a Contract role that offers a Hybrid working arrangement of 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright, WebDriverIO, Typescript, Mocha, Chai, ExpressJS, and Docker.
- Design and implement mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android platforms.
- Create robust API automation frameworks covering SOAP, REST, and GraphQL services.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement CI/CD strategies utilising tools like CircleCI to automate the software delivery process.
- Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter and analyse site speed to identify bottlenecks and optimise performance.
- Write clear and concise documentation for automation frameworks and testing processes.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and performance testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in test automation and performance engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in building web automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright, WebDriverIO, Typescript, Mocha, Chai, ExpressJS, and Docker.
- Experience in developing mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android platforms.
- Proficiency in API testing and automation, covering SOAP, REST, and GraphQL services.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, Bitbucket pipelines.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter/ site speed.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Relevant certifications in test automation, performance testing, or related areas.
- Experience with other automation frameworks and tools is a plus.
- Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
