Join a leading Australian manufacturer and wholesaler of a large range of high-volume engineered products, sold into industries as diverse as Construction, Retail Hardware, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas. As the largest company in this field, it has the resources of a public company, yet the flexibility of a private one. The significant enterprise was established in 1965 and operates 16 distribution centres across Australia, New Zealand, as well as two purpose-built international manufacturing operations in Asia. 

Reporting to the Senior Management team, you will:
  • Hands on procurement & supplier management role responsible for sourcing and managing a large SKU environment from overseas manufacturers
  • Product and category decision making, working alongside Sales, Marketing and Design teams
  • Identification of New Product Opportunities through market research and analysis
  • Work in cohension with a support team of product managers, demand planners, designs and shipping assistants
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives in liasing with the senior executive team
About you:
  • 7 years + experience within procurement, category management or supply chain planning environments - ideally in hardware, construction, engineering, FMCG or similar
  • Strong analytical foundation, ability to use Excel at an advanced level and deal with a high volume of data
  • Degree Qualification in Supply Chain related studies essential - APICS or CIPSA - an advantage
  • Stakeholder management skills across all levels across the organisation
