| Position Summary |
| The Infrastructure & Applications Team is composed of Systems Administrators, Technical Analysts and other Technology staff members. |
| As a member of the Technology Systems Administration Team this position is responsible for the installation, management, maintenance, support and optimisation of the firm's networking and server environment. This includes Windows\Linux servers and Cisco networking products such as Cisco ISE, Routers Switches and unified communications (Call Manager\WebEx\Jabber) and similar products as the environment changes over time. |
| The primary focus of this role is to provide technical expertise in the area of Operating Systems and Networking however the role also needs to support the wider team through helpdesk requests and projects work. |

| An after-hours on call roster for level 3 support and security incident response is being planned, should this be implemented it's expected that this role will participate in that roster. |
| Key Responsibilities |
| Manage and maintain the firms server fleet, ensuring systems are kept up to date and performing well at an Operating System and hardware level |
| Manage and maintain the firms Unified Communications platforms, ensuring regular updates are applied and systems remain highly available |
| Follow change management and documentation procedures for the deployment and maintenance of systems |
| Work with project teams on the provisioning of new systems and ensuring the availability and Disaster Recovery requirements have been taken into account |
| Automate deployment and maintenance of systems through automation tools (Powershell DSC, Cloudformation etc.) while using a DevOps mindset (Infrastructure as Code) |
| Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members in the area of I.T Security |
| Ensure systems are effectively monitored and alerts actioned |
| Work as directed by the Systems Administration Team Leader |
| Qualifications, Skills, and Experience |
| Solid technical skills are essential with Information Technology related qualifications. BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience) required |
| Strong hands-on Operating Systems experience (networking, security, etc.) |
| Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure problems |
| Strong project management skills including contingency and rollback mindset |
| Familiarity with one or more development languages (C# .NET, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript etc.) would be advantageous |
| Able to work as part of a close knit team and act on issues without immediate supervision. |
