Job Description

Our client is a leader in manufacturing and seeking a highly experienced CNC programmer/operator to join them on a full time permanent basis.
  • Glendenning NSW
  • 2pm-10pm
  • Monday-Friday
  • $33-35 ph + 15% shift loading (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications) 

Duties for this position will include the following:
  • Setting and operating Okuma Lathe CNC machine and a Hartford Pro CNC mill machine.
  • Planning, programming and testing of products
  • Operating different types of machinery on the shop floor
  • Multitasking and producing components to a high quality / standard
  • Be conversant in Okuma and Hartford series control languages with at least 3 years’ experience.
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Be prompt, reliable, efficient & ability to work effectively with a team and work unsupervised
  • Adhering to quality control standards and ensuring that machined components meet specifications.
  • Operating CNC machines with precision and monitoring their performance throughout the production process.
  • Setting up the next machining operation by installing fixtures, tools, and programming sequences.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment.
Our ideal candidate for this role MUST have the following:
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience with CNC Lathe programming and machining.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to the instructions. 
  • Ability to use measuring instruments.
  • Self-motivation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • A Good Level Of Safety-Consciousness.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to fluctuating workloads.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision for routine situations.
  • Good communication and time-management skills.
  • The successful candidate must be a Permanent Australian Resident.
