Working on behalf of our client we are seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Toolmaker to join them on a full-time permanent basis.
They are a 100% Australian-owned and operated business and have been established for over 50 years.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with the drawings’ specifications and use suitable materials, methods and machine settings; always correctly setting and controlling machining tools and profiling machines
- Ensuring that metal stock, castings and fabricated, assembled metal parts are accurately machined to fit
- To ensure that tooling is manufactured in the given time scale.
- To always erect and hoist machines and equipment in the fabrication area using correct rigging protocols
- Machining to specification hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Maintenance of extrusion tooling and equipment, setting dies, fine metal polishing and refinishing of equipment.
- Full-time permanent employment from day one
- Competitive hourly rate dependant on experience
- $40-50ph + Super + OT + Penalty rates
- High earning potential as you will be expected to work nights and weekends when needed
- Plastics manufacturing background knowledge or relevant industry experience.
- Toolmaker/Mechanical Fitter Trade qualifications.
Skills & Knowledge
- A problem solver with strict attention to detail.
- 3-5 years previous experience working as a Toolmaker
- Solid professionalism and an eye on continuous improvement.
- Plastics manufacturing background knowledge or relevant industry experience highly regarded.
