Job Description
Looking for an experienced Backend/Full stack Engineer with solid TypeScript and AWS Skills for a new greenfield project for an Australian Travel insurance Company.
$120-$140K plus super
North Sydney Location
Responsibilities
Develop high-quality code that is well documented and follows best practices.
Design and implement an system architectures that are extensible in the future.
Implementation of security and data protection best practices
Write unit tests for your code
Perform code reviews & occasional pair programming
Contribute to solution designs and future technology roadmap for the company
Learning from, and sharing knowledge with, the rest of the (technology) team
Responsible for his/her own work planning against objectives set in agreement with the Head of
Engineering
Skills
Production experience with AWS infrastructure - 3+ years of experience on the platform
Experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, Cognito, Step Functions, CDK
Strong production Typescript experience : 3+ years
Experience with Serverless Framework
Experience with API development (REST and GraphQL)
Knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as Github Actions, AWS CodePipeline
Ability to contribute to System Design & Architecture
Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, shell, Python) a plus.
Understanding of AWS best practices, design patterns and coding standards
Work in agile environment. Familiar with scrum ceremonies.
Tertiary qualifications in computer science or a related field
Extensive experience with debugging and troubleshooting tools
