This company is based in Flemington looking for a Systems Engineer to join them. This role is reporting to the platform and cyber security manager and is known as a leader in their industry.
In this role you will be:
- Plan, design, implement, support, and maintain Hybrid Cloud Platforms and associated services.
- Leverage Cloud-based IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS solutions to align with a cloud-first strategy.
- Design and perform server, network, and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Review and implement new security solutions and procedures to maintain and enhance the current cyber security posture.
- Mentor System Administrators and other Engineers while actively sharing knowledge and experience.
- Contribute to implementing, maintaining, improving DevOps technology and principles, such as CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and operate monitoring, logging, alerting to enhance security, availability, reliability, and performance.
- Provide backup help desk support and escalation of level 3 IT enquiries.
- Proven experience successfully designing, implementing, and supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS in particular, in an enterprise environment.
- Extensive experience with private, public, and hybrid Cloud environments is a must.
- Strong networking knowledge and experience across networking design, implementation, and maintenance, including wireless in an enterprise environment is a must.
- Detailed experience and knowledge of O365 environment, including Teams telephony, Security, and Compliance.
- Intermediate knowledge of Powershell and scripting.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining logging, monitoring, and alerting of platforms, applications, and networks in an enterprise environment.
- Experienced in mentoring and coaching junior team members.
