Job Description
The main responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:
▪ Hands on support to the Operations Supervisor in day to day operations and area of responsibility
▪ Performs & follows up with more in-depth tasks associated with Pallet Management (rejections, exceptions, issue pallets, return, transfer, receive, etc)
▪ Identify, organise & prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines, targets, stock availability, quality, safety, housekeeping & customer SLAs are met
▪ Monitor EDI orders & communicate accordingly
▪ Acknowledge orders through EDI (POA); Stock status for order; Out of stocks; Change of delivery & dates; Maintain details of new stores, products on all required systems
▪ Release orders within the WMS accurately
▪ Actioning any issues (re-allocation, suspending, unpacking, unpicking, transport, back order, on hold, cancel orders, etc) ▪ Actioning queries from internal and external stakeholders
▪ Liaising in a professional manner with carriers/customers for customer pickups
▪ Coordinates logistical activities to achieve sales & marketing campaigns deadlines
▪ Despatching & manifesting orders accurately
▪ Confirm, coordinate & book transport
▪ Prepares & completes associated paperwork, labels for deliveries accurately (SLIs, con notes, packing lists, invoices, etc)
▪ Liaise with other departments to manage the flow of materials to ensure timely delivery of product, whilst identifying and following up any delays or outstanding orders
We are looking for the following skills:
- Exposure to working in a food handling/ temperature controlled environment is advantageous
- An understanding of warehouse distribution
- Knowledge of local and interstate transportation
- Intermediate word and excel
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong customer service focus with first rate problem solving skills
- An outstanding work ethic with a can-do attitude
