Job Description

We are currently looking for a Resource Manager with extensive experience in workforce planning for a 12 month contract.

Role

As the Resource Manager, you are responsible for establishing a project that encompasses program resourcing and capability frameworks.

Responsibilities

Undertaking an analysis of the current business environment and delivering recommendations in regard to resource management

Developing a view of the resource demand and supply for the digital portfolio of work, including:

  • Identifying the optimum data collection approach
  • Analysis of the risks of supply and develop appropriate strategy
  • Develop and deliver dashboard views for executive decision-making
  • Establishing executive line of sight for future resource requirements

Developing and deploying a resource management framework

Analyse the environment and recommend portfolio level sourcing strategies in regards to:

  • The optimum resource mix and appropriate plan to manage
  • Preferred sourcing partners and agreements, and relationship management associated

Develop and implement an initial approach to portfolio capability management, including:

  • Establish the portfolio skills view, aligning capabilities to the digital portfolio
  • Analysis of the capability gap risks and potential strategies to address
  • Definition of the portfolio level capability principles in regards to:
    • Talent identification
    • Training and development
    • Succession planning
    • Knowledge optimisation and retention

Actively support knowledge transfer and establishment of the new function by mentoring and coaching internal staff

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to senior and executive level discussions on resourcing and capability strategies
  • Ability to uplift resourcing capability internally by coaching internal staff and supporting knowledge transfer
  • Experience of delivery of projects and programs of significant scale
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Resource management / Senior PMO Manager is essential
