Manage payroll for 300+staff in North Sydney for a national industry association, $130k+super
The Role:
As the Payroll Manager you will oversee the permanent payroll on a national and international scale and manage a small team:-
- Manage Ascender to ensure payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner
- Manage and review global outsourced payroll for UK, Asia, USA and UAE
- Monthly payroll of 300+ staff
- Management of small payroll team
- Tax, super and all statutory deductions
- Process improvements and implementations
- Manage salary continuance, salary packaging program, workers compensation schemes and superannuation fund relationships
- Lead for expatriate taxation requirements supported by third party taxation specialists
- Reconciling general ledger payroll accounts
- Accurate processing and payments of employment related obligations - Superannuation, PAYG, Workers Compensation and payroll tax
- Resolving/answering escalated queries relating to payroll
- Generation and analysis of management reports, HR and Payroll reports for the Remuneration Committee
- Calculation and processing of annual leave, long service leave, termination and redundancy payments
To be successful:
- Previous experience as a Payroll Manager (ideally 5 years+)
- Extensive knowledge in Australian payroll practices, compliance and legislation
- Any prior international payroll experience would be an advantage but not essential
- Experience using Preceda payroll system
- Strong internal / external stakeholder management
- Previous experience managing or mentoring staff
- Deadline driven
