Job Description


  • 12 Month contract
  • Northern Melbourne Suburb location 
  • Global Organisation

Our client is a global manufacturing organisation, with multiple officers around Melbourne. Due to recent growth and a number of upcoming projects, they are looking for the right candidate to assist the team.

In this role, you will help with design development all the way through the build phase, ensuring that solutions are implemented to specification and assisting with service transition as needed.
Working closely with a range of stakeholders and cross-functional teams. You will lead the Infrastructure related support, continuous improvement, and projects.  

Core responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Infrastructure Architect with designing and supporting systems, networking, and virtualization.
  • Working with Level 2-3 support for escalations
  • Working and supporting global vendors across multiple projects
  • Delivery of core infrastructure programs back to the business
  • Provide troubleshooting support for complex infrastructure issues within the local site’s manufacturing/engineering automation environments.
  • Support internal/external Infrastructure systems and platforms
  • Manage expectations and communications with key stakeholders in Execution System teams and Information & Technology
Skills and Requirements:

  • An expert level of knowledge of operating systems, storage area networks, virtualization, and networking technologies is required.
  •  Good understanding of security principles.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across a range of countries, cultures, and time zones.
  • Experience in delivering and working on core business projects.
  • Strong customer focus - able to meet the demands of internal and external customers.
  • Troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to propose and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Practical knowledge of ITIL concepts and terminology.
Ideally, you will be detail-oriented and organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.

You will have the opportunity to work with a highly regarded infrastructure architect and be involved in some very large global projects.

This is a 12-month contract role on a daily rate but there is the likelihood of extension.
