Conversation Rate Optimization Specialist
 

As a Conversion Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for managing, testing and implementing conversion points in the marketing funnel. 

You will use creative, analytical and project management skills to collaborate design, develop and execute multiple campaigns to improve conversion rates on our websites, landing pages and email to make a positive impact to funnel efficiency (acquisition/activation).

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working alongside the marketing, sales, and product teams, you will play a key role in optimising the customer journey from pre-signup to onboarding.

You will have strong front-end skills and be well versed in data analysis and running structured experiments.

Manage key conversion points in the marketing funnel, optimizing our conversion paths using A/B tests, multi-variative tests and split testing methods focusing on website, landing pages, email and other conversion points.


Responsibilities

  • Working with the marketing team, you'll be SMSGlobal’s optimization champion. From design to execution, you'll be fundamental to building our optimization strategy, prioritizing tests, tracking, and reporting results over time.
  • Understand the customer journey (qualitative/quantitative date) to design and build our optimization framework.
  • Build our reporting capability to accurately track experiments and deliver actionable insights to the business using our existing tools HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Optimise and other company approved platforms end to end within the optimization framework.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations to help the business deliver on key metrics and KPIs, through continuous website and campaign testing and user experience improvements.
  • Create and execute deliverables that help inform the ideal experiences for users. This could include items such as website audits, web analytics reviews, user journeys analysis, workflows, user scenarios and persona development.
  • Help drive the success of client engagements, as the subject matter expert on a number of conversion optimization & UX engagements.  Understand the entire process: from KPI definition to execution to insight discover.
  • Apply knowledge of web analytics, user segments and audiences as they relate to the optimization process
  • Optimizing conversion from trial to paid customer
 
Essential job functions

  • Be able to translate and communicate testing results and data-driven recommendations into an effective message, continually creating insights and value for SMSG.
  • Perform best practices for procedures that facilitate workflow, intra- and inter-departmental communication; contribute to the development and improvement of processes that support the alignment of quality, scalability, and capacity.
  • Running tests on paid acquisition landing pages to reduce customer acquisition cost
  • Working with site, design, and content teams to create and test new pages
  • Implementing targeted site messaging and personalization to drive conversions
  • Increase conversion rates to drive self-service sales and marketing-qualified leads for our sales team
  • Catalog and organize all a/b tests so anyone in the company can understand and differentiate winner’s vs losers
  • Develop benchmark reports and dashboards that empower Marketing stakeholders to monitor and analyze the progress of their programs.
  • Use data-driven insights to propose and design future tests
  • Develop and monitor daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly KPIs
  • Contribute to website development with a highly technical approach around analytics and testing strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills Required

  • Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of staff
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a website testing and/or UX focused role
  • Highly proficient in web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience reporting on success/failure of optimization efforts
  • Strong proficiency in digital marketing.
  • Strong digital proficiency, knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a bonus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate articulately both verbally and in writing; positive customer service experience, including managing difficult situations and difficult people
