In this role you will be:
Manage incidents, Change, Problem, and Request ensuring a proactive approach to minimize impact and reduce reoccurring incidents to our customers and business stakeholders following ITIL principles.
Perform deep-dive investigations within Applications, Operating systems, and databases.
Proactive monitoring and maintenance of systems and applications while ensuring high service availability and reliability.
Maintain, validate, and create Knowledge Base articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Escalating requests to vendors when appropriate.
Provide professional communication in both written and verbal forms to our customers and business stakeholders.
Perform Service Transition, Technical and Deployment tasks within projects.
Identify and drive continual Service and Process Improvement and perform trend analysis following ITIL principles.
Assist with front-line IT Support as required.
Exhaust all known error Knowledge Bases and ensure all steps to resolve are documented in our current IT Service Management tool.
Deep dive data analysis and updates in Microsoft SQL databases.
Manage the testing and deployment of Application Configurations, patches/fixes, and new software from vendors ensuring your drive/own the system implementation, upgrade, or modifications.
Representing the Business Systems team in executive meetings.
Liaise with offshore teams to drive resolution and development.
Design and implement creative solutions to business problems.
Develop and recommend future improvements to processes.
Transform end-user needs/functional requirements into technical requirements.
To be successful you will need:
Previous experience working in an IT Support role supporting a mid-size to large organization.
Intermediate Database query experience in one of the following MSSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with customers using non-technical language and business stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, ability to think outside the box
Knowledge and understanding of key ITIL processes (Incident, Request, Change, Problem)
Fast learner – open and able to learn new software, tools, and processes in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated and able to work autonomously and proactively while managing competing priorities across several workstreams
Motivated by challenges and passionate about learning new technologies
Experience with ERP administration, configuration, and support desirable
