Our client has two positions open for experienced infrastructure engineers. With over 1500 users nationally they have a really strong focus on providing their end users with a really positive IT experience. 

A typical day may include some of the following: 
  • Provide support to the production infrastructure and the business services that depend on it. 
  • Ensure the effective operation of business-as-usual infrastructure systems and support services in accordance with SLAs.
  • Provide effective troubleshooting on all infrastructure technology platforms, present and future deployments.
  • Maintain the security, availability and performance of systems.
  • Perform Infrastructure maintenance activities, including, systems monitoring, patching and upgrades.
  • Manage security applications and ensure compliance across servers and end user computers.
  • Conduct technical vulnerability assessments of IT systems and processes.
  • Make continual improvements on the platform to ensure further reliability and efficiency.
  • Facilitate business improvement by mapping business processes to potential technical solutions and presenting them in a coherent and concise manner in order to gain support.
To be suited for this role you will need: 
  • High-level communications and stakeholder liaison and management skills to engage various business areas.
  • Good knowledge about the various IT infrastructure components and processes.
  • Excellent technical & diagnostic skills and the ability to solve complex technical issues with good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Possess strong influencing skills and substantial service delivery capability.
  • Ability to effectively analyse large volumes of information/data and think logically.
  • Ability to manage vendors.
  • Innovative mindset that ensures consideration of all alternative options and the development of creative solutions.
  • Experience working with managed services and multiple suppliers.
Technical experience with:
  • Microsoft Active Directory, o365, SCCM, SQL Server, DHCP, ADFS, Azure Active Directory, Windows Defender, modern server operating systems i.e. Windows Server 2016 & 2019.
  • Corporate security toolsets including, A/V, Email filtering tools – Mimecast, Checkpoint
  • AWS and/or Azure skills.
  • VMWare vSphere, VMWare vSAN, VMWare NSX, block storage arrays & fiber fabrics.
  • AWS and/or Azure Certifications.
  • Microsoft Certifications.
  • Splunk, Jira and Confluence skills preferable.
  • Skills in Disaster Recovery technologies, in a heavily virtualised environment (i.e. VMWare SRM, or similar).
  • Backup technologies & approaches (Commvault).
  • ITIL Certification.
This is a full time role with some after hour work. You will need full Australian working rights to be successful.
