Job Description

Looking for an experienced Backend/Full stack Engineer with solid TypeScript and AWS Skills for a new greenfield project for an Australian Insurance Company.

$120-$140K plus super


 Develop high-quality code that is well documented and follows best practices.
 Design and implement an system architectures that are extensible in the future.
 Implementation of security and data protection best practices
 Write unit tests for your code
 Perform code reviews & occasional pair programming
 Contribute to solution designs and future technology roadmap for the company
 Learning from, and sharing knowledge with, the rest of the (technology) team
 Responsible for his/her own work planning against objectives set in agreement with the Head of


 Production experience with AWS infrastructure - 3+ years of experience on the platform
 Experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, Cognito, Step Functions, CDK
 Strong production Typescript experience : 3+ years
 Experience with Serverless Framework
 Experience with API development (REST and GraphQL)
 Knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as Github Actions, AWS CodePipeline
 Ability to contribute to System Design & Architecture
 Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, shell, Python) a plus.
 Understanding of AWS best practices, design patterns and coding standards
 Work in agile environment. Familiar with scrum ceremonies.
 Tertiary qualifications in computer science or a related field
 Extensive experience with debugging and troubleshooting tools
