Job Description

Leading Sydney based fintech has an exciting contract opportunity for an experienced UI/UX designer. This is a great opportunity to join a tight knit team actively engaged on a new and disruptive payments platform for the domestic market. You will work with multiple stakeholders across the business to gather data and requirements to create simple yet elegant design solutions.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with product and business owners
  • Facilitate design meetings with the business and product owners focusing on co-creation and the objectives of the project
  • Streamline processes and change management for systems and people
  • Work with Business Analysts on the capture and analysis of data
  • Use storyboards and process flows to illustrate designs
  • Creation of wire-frames and prototypes (mobile and web)
  • Research findings following creation of user testing
  • Create UI/UX project documentation 
  • Some basic coding 

Essential skills:

• Large environment commercial experience in multi platform UI/UX design and methodologies
• Design and prototyping skills using tools such as InVision, Sketch, Photoshop and InDesign or similar
• Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, HTML5/CSS3 and JavaScript
• In depth understanding of Design Thinking concepts, accessibility and web standards
• Experience 2–8 years of hands on UI/UX development
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience required
