Job Description
Role and responsibilities:
- Maintain configure and support existing LAN/WAN
- Take initiative and propose recommendations about improvements to network infrastructure
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support and troubleshooting of network, systems and application
- Perform efficient administration of network equipment at Data Centre and client sites, including WIFI infrastructure and 3rd party
- Liaise with vendors and company partners
- Assist in the testing and implementation of DR
- Ensure all networking infrastructure is fit for purpose, capacity planning and licensing obligations
- Maintain documentation standards
- Maintain a clear log of fault and resolution using Microsoft Service Manager
Qualifications and Experience:
- Industry qualifications in networking such as CCNP, CCIE or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years working in networking
- VoIP telephony skills
- High level working knowledge of communications equipment and concepts
- Proven experience in monitoring, managing, and maintaining LAN / WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN networks
- Solid experience in configuring and supporting Cisco Routers and firewalls
- Experience in implementing and supporting wireless solutions
- Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
- Experience with HP ProCurve range of switches is advantageous
- Arista experience highly regarded
- Experience in Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CallManager), Tandberg video conferencing solutions and Riverbed products is highly regarded
- Strong understanding of security principles and operations of proxy and firewalls
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
