Job Description
The Role
- Manage the pick-up of freight from country areas on a daily basis
- Schedule country transport orders ensuring customer requirements are met
- Manage the daily deliveries of freight to country areas
- Check consignment delivery and update system and ensure all POD’s are completed
- Monitor and report on KPI’s and drive productivity to ensure performance and transport availability
- Provide updates regarding delivery issues and ETAs to stakeholders including the Customer Service call centre
- Liaise with customers regarding any issues or complaints and resolve effectively
- Ensure work schedule complies with SLAs
- Pallet management
- Previous experience in allocations/dispatch coordination
- Sound knowledge country/regional NSW
- The ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Strong negotiation skills and excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and delegation skills are necessary for success in this role
- Strong commitment to working in a team environment and working collaboratively with other staff
- To succeed in this position you must have a ‘can do attitude’ with previous experience in the transport industry.
