The Company

This role is working for one of the worlds largest global banks on a permanent basis. This is an incredible opportunity to work with some of the best technologists in the world. 

The Role

You will be building and engineering large scale, distributed and business-critical applications on an international scale. The development will involve automating and hardening deployment and designing safeguards for various major platforms. You will also be consulting and working alongside internal development teams on reliability strategies for safer cloud deployment, engineering culture change and innovative solutions. Technically, applications are across multiple different stacks, but predominantly in C++ and Java. 

The Requirements

For this role, the client is looking for someone highly skilled in their area. Ideally, you will have; 

  • Strong development skills,  excellent C++ or Java (also consider candidates with Python, Golang or Perl) 
  • Hands-on experience with algorithms, data structures and software design
  • Excellent knowledge of Unix operating system 
  • Excellent knowledge of debugging and optimising code 
  • Experience automating operational tasks
  • Strong communication skills along with ownership, drive and collaboration
  • Full working rights for Australia
