The Opportunity
In this role you will contribute to the continued success of a renowned world class exhibition & conference. Partnering with the leading Association for an industry generating $90bn for Australia’s prosperity, you will become an expert in your field and the go-to for your association partners, exhibitors and sponsors.
Your primary focus will be revenue generation through selling exhibition space, sponsorship packages and conference tickets to existing clients and new prospects. You will also provide an exemplary level of service to all stakeholders, association partners and customers. This year’s event attracted a record number of exhibitors, so your first port of call will be rebooking them for the 2021 event. Next up, you will strategically identify prospects and target them with a view to converting them into new business.
You must be energetic, personable and ready to join a high performing sales team and most importantly know how to have fun while doing it!
Responsibilities
- Nurture and grow your existing client portfolio
- Identify new business opportunities
- Become an expert in your industry
- Attend industry events
- Negotiate rates
- Prepare sales contracts
- Maintain up to date CRM
- Work onsite at the events and provide exceptional customer service
About you
- Experience in a B2B sales environment
- Outbound telephone sales experience
- Ability to close business on the phone
- Strong negotiations skills
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Experience in exhibitions or media is highly regarded but not essential
