The Company

This role is working for one of the worlds largest investment banks on a permanent basis. This is an incredible opportunity to work with some of the best technologists in the world. 

The Role

Once in this role, you will be performing Development and DevOps tasks. You will be building and engineering large scale, distributed and business-critical applications on an international scale. The team is relatively small in Australia, so you will need to be confident in your capabilities and drive the application development and improvements. Technically, they have applications across multiple different stacks, but predominantly in C++ and Java. 

The Requirements

For this role, the client is looking for someone highly skilled in their area. Ideally, you will have; 
  • Excellent academic background 
  • Excellent C++ or Java skills (they also consider candidates with Python, Go or Perl) 
  • Hands-on experience with algorithms, data structures and software design
  • Excellent knowledge of Unix operating system 
  • Excellent knowledge of debugging and optimising code 
  • Excellent experience with Automation/ DevOps
  • Full working rights for Australia
